I hesitated about doing a “Favorite Christmas Songs” block because hey, I’ve done it before, right? Wrong. I went back through my database (this is the third Christmas that I’ve been doing a Song of the Day, yowza!) and nope! Nothin’ (unbelievable, right?).
Beginning tomorrow through Sunday I will highlight my favorite Christmas songs. Is this a tired cliche, particularly for an SOTD blog such as this? Of course. But do I care? Obviously not.
I enjoy Christmas music, despite having been subjected to it since Thanksgiving (even before Thanksgiving, at some places. Ugh). While there are some real duds out there (Santa, Baby makes me twitch), there are some – classics and newcomers – that make me smile whenever I hear them… even if it is October.
So, what do you think? Got any xmas ditties you love? Hate? Love to hate?
